Triple H vs Brock Lesnar WWE WrestleMania 29

We can now reveal the Blu-ray exclusives planned for Triple H: Thy Kingdom Come!

It’s made up of one match and various interview chapters not included in the main portion.

As you may recall, the official synopsis made reference to the Triple H set as having three hours of documentary footage within; likely referring to a combination of the main feature on the DVD, plus these extensive extras contained on the Blu-ray edition.

  3. thejmp187 says:

Idk why. But I have a bad feeling hhh vs hbk vs cena in that triple threat from survivor series 09 will be here…plz no. And I think the DVD will have good matches like 6 pack chall. Matches vs Kane Austin.Jericho and hogan

  4. Rob L says:

Wow, the cooler looks so cheap.

  5. Profile photo of Corey Rice Corey Rice says:

Maybe the 5th evolution member covered will be a fan favorite Maven?

    • Profile photo of David David says:

I remember reading they planned to have Mark Jindrak in Evolution. There was a shoot on Youtube long time ago and he mentioned he was suppose to be one of the original 4 members with Orton, HHH and Flair. He mentioned they even filmed the the helicopter clips and everything with him in a suit.

Wonder what would have happened to Batista…he got a huge break being put in Evolution. He probably would have been just a generic powerhouse in the Matt Morgan category or something.

  6. Domenic says:

Triple H vs. Kane (No Mercy 2002).

  7. Brad Attitude says:

I was hoping he’d talk about the Terra Ryzing name over the Hunter Hearst Helmsley one … From what I know, Mark Jindrak was suppose to be a member in Evolution but not sure what happened. I also hope there will be a hhh vs HK match from their 2002-2004 battles. They had some good bloody matches (maybe their hell in a cell or last man standing match)

    • Eric says:

Their HIAC lasted for 42mins. There is already a 60 min Iron Man match on there. I doubt they will put another super long match on it.

      • Profile photo of David David says:

The match was 47 minutes, so with entrances and post-match its well over an hour.

      • Here are some chapter lengths for some Triple H matches:
HIAC vs. Shawn Michaels: 57:00 (HIAC Anthology)
Three Stages of Hell vs. Steve Austin: 42:00 (Legacy of SCSA)
Fatal 4 Way vs. Mick Foley vs.The Rock vs. Big Show: 47:00 (WM 2000)

Safe to say none of these matches will make it on this set.

    • Anonymous says:

I found their Hell in a Cell match to be incredibly dull, so I hope they release any of their other matches instead.

      • Profile photo of David David says:

Same here. Not much of fan of their HIAC match either. I found that the last 20 minutes or so really dragged, it was basically a move, laying on the mat, rinse and repeat. I think if it went close to 30 minutes it would have been a classic.

But i guess they had to play the whole “final chapter of their rivalry” as JR mentioned on commentary so it went nearly 50 minutes long.

To this day i still feel the LMS from Royal Rumble 2004, Summerslam 2002 and 12/29/2003 RAW their best matches together.

        • SRB says:

The best HBK/HHH match was the last man standing at RR

          • Ryan says:

I personally prefer their Triple Threat Matches with Benoit. The storytelling was great, and it played off the HHH/HBK feud. The one from Mania is probably the greatest match in Mania history.

  8. Domenic says:

These matches should be on the dvd…..

Triple H vs. The Rock- I Quit Match (Raw 1999)
    Triple H vs. X-Pac (Backlash 1999)
Triple H vs. Big Show vs. Kane vs. The Rock vs. British Bulldog vs. Mankind (Unforgiven 1999)
Triple H vs. Mick Foley vs. Big Show vs. The Rock (WrestleMania 2000)
Triple H vs. Chris Jericho- Last Man Standing (Fully Loaded 2000)
Triple H vs. Kurt Angle (Unforgiven 2000)
Triple H vs. Chris Benoit (No Mercy 2000)
Triple H vs. Stone Cold (Survivor Series 2000)
Triple H vs. Stone Cold- Three Stages of Hell- 2001 Match of the Year (No Way Out 2001)
Triple H and Stone Cold vs. Undertaker and Kane (Backlash 2001)
Triple H vs. Kane (Judgment Day 2001)
Triple H and Stone Cold vs. Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit (Raw 2001)
Triple H vs. Kurt Angle (No Way Out 2002)
Triple H vs. Kurt Angle (Raw 2002)
Triple H vs. Hulk Hogan (Backlash 2002)
Triple H vs. Undertaker (Insurrextion 2002)
Triple H vs. Chris Jericho- Hell in a Cell (Judgment Day 2002)
Triple H vs. Undertaker (King of the Ring 2002)

I will post more matches later…

    • Anonymous says:

I remember seeing something about there being 12 matches on here. We have three confirmed, so most of your list probably won’t be on there. For what it’s worth, the following are already on other DVDs too.
Triple H vs. Stone Cold (Survivor Series 2000)
Triple H vs. Stone Cold- Three Stages of Hell- 2001 Match of the Year (No Way Out 2001)
Triple H vs. Kane (Judgment Day 2001)
Triple H vs. Hulk Hogan (Backlash 2002)
Triple H vs. Chris Jericho- Hell in a Cell (Judgment Day 2002)
Triple H vs. Undertaker (King of the Ring 2002)

Benoit matches are also incredibly unlikely so I wouldn’t expect a single one of those.

  9. Goldberg says:

Just putting a bunch of matches you could get on YouTube or torrent sites is passe. WWE is giving us exclusive content including a bunch of stories and a long documentary. They are really putting the work in.

  10. John says:

The Blu-Ray extras suck, I rather have extra matches than boring stories

  11. David says:

Maybe the mania match will be the cool film cut thing they did last year where the sound is the same but all the video is the film

  12. Bowers says:

Matches i would also like to see included in this set:
    Triple H Vs. X-Pac, (Backlash 1999)
Triple H Vs. Chris Jericho, Last Man Standing (Fully Loaded 2000)
Triple H Vs. Stone Cold, 3 Stages of Hell (No Way Out 2001)

    • Steve says:

I agree those are all important. The one with stone cold was released on his set but I can get over that.

    • NickP says:

Unforgiven 2000 or No Way Out 2002 vs Kurt Angle
Unforgiven 1999 Six Pack Challenge for the WWE title
Raw I Quit match vs The Rock

  13. Steve says:

Someone explain to me why they needed to include a match that was on the WM DVD that was released a month ago and was one of the highest selling DVD’s of all time? Just a waste

    • SRB says:

Agreed Steve. I think this release will be one where the matches will be kind of throw away with only a few good ones while the main feature will be the doc and extras minus the Lesnar match.

      • Steven Jackson says:

I agree too Steve. While I don’t buy Blu-Rays it seems a huge waste to put Lesnar vs. HHH from ‘Mania on the set. I think this set is something I may pass on, I’m not a huge HHH fan and to be honest, nearly all his best matches have been released I believe already so it may seem a bit of a disappointment. Plus, as WWE DVD times are extremely short now, with the Rock vs. HHH ironman taking up an hour of the bonus matches, it doesn’t really excite me to see what else will follow, as that swallows up 1/6th of the DVD time.

    • Anonymous says:

Because it’s a Blu-Ray exclusive and not everyone buys the Blu-Rays? Same reason they put Lesnar vs. Cena as a Blu-Ray exclusive on Lesnar’s DVD. It probably won’t affect the sales of either DVD at all.

    • Profile photo of Joe Israel Joe Israel says:

Also plenty of people (like me) don’t collect PPV events on DVD/BR. So I wouldn’t consider this a repeat at all.

  14. Blu ray is a must buy for me, HHH has a great story telling persona that will make for a great documentary. His little story on Mick Foleys Blu ray about WM 2000 was very good even though it was only 2 minutes long.

Matches- I expect alot or repeats (v HBK SS2002 for one) however I kinda expect his Backlash 99 match v X-PAC, and WM 2000 to be included

  15. Nick says:

Im glad they included stories instead of matches because I cant think of any good unreleased matches of his to put on here except the LMS w/jericho.

I hoped they dubbed some crowd noise into that lesnar match because the crowd couldn’t have been more dead.

    • LP1 says:

You’re right about the crowd being dead. I was there and there was no way that match could follow Taker vs Punk. That’s probably where the 8 Person Tag Team Match was supposed to happen before they pulled it from the show.

  16. SRB says:

As far as match selections though, I’m expecting some repeats big time. I’m expecting matches that likely anyone else would expect, repeats with SCSA, Rock, HBK, Cena and Batista. While some of these matches are crowning moments, I can say I was surprised at the RVD match. With the Iron Man match and other matches that have been announced and the documentary, I’m not expecting many more matches since a lot of the set is already spoken for

  17. darnell harris says:

i will definely buy wwe triple h thy kingdom come on blu-ray just for the blu ray exclusive an extras because the wwe always put all of the good stuff on the blu ray version an not on the dvd version

  18. Ben says:

Can’t wait to buy it! Surely going to buy the blu-ray version! :)

  19. Profile photo of David David says:

The stories are well worth the Blu-ray alone…could have done without the Lesnar match, they could have included the Cage match instead since i thought that was their best and Extreme Rules Blu-ray won’t be available in the US.

  20. King_2099 says:

I really hope this set includes his No Way Out 2001 match with Stone Cold. 3 Stages Of Hell. It was awesome

Also, don’t include any matches with that idiot John Cena in it either

  21. SRB says:

Blu-Ray extras look like a documentary in itself. The extra Lesnar match should have been his work with Lesnar at Extreme Rules. I know he lost the match, but that happened 2/3 times.

  22. Chad says:

I want an app for Android :(

  23. Profile photo of Wonderllama Wonderllama says:

Good stuff. I will definitely get the Blu-Ray version now!
