WWEDVDNews.com can now fully confirm WWE’s new DVD release on D-Generation X and it’s title “The Final Conflict“.

It’s scheduled for release on both DVD and Blu-ray format on April 5th 2011 in North America, right after WrestleMania 27.

Here’s the latest official info on D-Generation X: The Final Conflict:

3-Disc set containing DX’s biggest matches, including their historic rivalries with The Legacy (Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase) and JeriShow (Chris Jericho, Big Show). D-Generation X continues to be popular with fans, and the last DVD release, The New & Improved D-X (2/20/07) was one of WWE’s best-selling releases in history.

The DVD will be promoted in the run up to, and at, Wrestlemania 27 which will take place the weekend prior to release (4/3). It will contain brand new exclusive interviews with Triple H and Shawn Michaels, looking back at their place in sports entertainment history. Also available on 2-Disc Blu-Ray.

What the Jake Roberts ever do, he didn’t reach the legendary status of Shawn Michaels, WOOOOOO Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Stone Cold, The Rock, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall. The snake never won the WWE title, Hogan was shoved down our throats back when the Yellow and Red was popular, like John Cena is now. Shawn was one of the first wrestler’s to get the fans into the match and story, if you didn’t like DX’s attitude that’s your problem and opinion. I don’t think Cena would’ve survived during the Attitude Era of DX at its best.

Just because Bret had a systematic routine of moves he would do when taking his opponent out of the equation doesn’t mean he was limited to it. I suggest the 1993 King of The Ring by way of example. 3 totally different matches with Bret the master of in ring story telling. None of them had a sharpshooter. To say he did not have charisma is pretty short sighted. In the words of Jake Roberts if a man has enough power he can talk softly and everyone will listen. Bret didnt need to dance like a berk, crotch chop or shout wooooooo at the end of every sentence to get people’s attention.

When they traded in storylines that made any sense for the ‘attitude’ wrestling was never the same. It was a fresh new thing for a couple of years, but it got stale very quickly and now they don’t know how to tell a decent story. John Cena’s legacy will probably just be that he was shoved down everyone’s throat despite half the audience booing him, especially at Wrestlemanias. They say they listen to the fans, but they don’t. Hence why you get repetitious DVD releases like this. I liked the idea that each wrestler had one definitive DVD that actually told their story. The history of telling people to suck it is really not necessary.

@ Brett, Shawn was one of the first wrestler to be great on the mic and sure Bret is a good wrestler, but he had no mic skills its like HBK said Bret would put a sleeper hold on the crowd. I think now you need to have good mic skills to go along with the wrestling look at John Cena he’s hilarious on the mic and he could be a better wrestler than what he is. Everybody needs to admit the best DX was from September of 1997 to March of 1998, all kinds of hilarious moments and it was the best time to be a wrestling fan because of DX, NWO, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Chris Jericho doing his thing in WCW. Bret is ok with me a fan but not a huge fan like I am with Shawn Michaels, but you got to admit Bret was kinda of like John Cena with moves the backbreaker, legdrop for the 2nd rope and the sharpshooter and Cena has the 2 shoulder blocks, his version of a spinout powerbomb to you can’t see me, then its the FU/AA and STFU.

i wish they can release a dvd of the segments the wwe and wcw have had over the years, because its super cool to hear what they would say and do like everything austin and rock would do. also a dvd on the nwo would be cool, too!

@Brett Mix: If another 3 disc set for Flair came out with more epic matches from the greatest wrestler of all time, I’d be perfectly happy if they named the set “Flair survived a plane crash” and in between every match he explained it all in detail over and over again.

Hey Steven, I am not sure you know what charisma is because the Hitman character had a TON OF IT. What is wrong with traditional wrestling…nothing, everyone is entitled to their opinion. And another DX DVD. Please…Might as well make another three disc set for Flair talking about his plane crash for te 75th time.

  11. Steven says:

I hope on this dvd they will have DX moments from the attitude era, that was the best time to be a wrestling fan, had DX and the NWO, the 2 best groups in wrestling ever!

Talk about overkill. Clearly you need another DX career piece because they told a few jokes with a midget after they did the last one. I could understand it if they wanted to show D-Generation X at the height of its popularity, ie. with Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and X-Pac, but I doubt thats the case, despite this being the third DX DVD with lots more of the two individually. Bet it will sell well to the kids though. Berks.

  13. Steven says:

I could care less about the latest DX, but the DX from the attitude era was awesome, them and Stone Cold was the 2 hottest things in WWF/E at the time, when NWO and WCW was kicking butt in the ratings and Mr. Charisma Bret Hart didn’t agree with the direction of DX, well DX and me has 2 Words for him Suck It!

  14. Rob L says:

Only thing I’m looking forward to is the new interviews with Shawn and HHH

  15. Rob L says:

I’ll pick it up because I’m a collector and I have the other two DX releases. But it doesn’t sound too appealing to me. The latest DX was pretty lame considering Shawn’s new spiritual personality and the stupid PG rating. DX back in the attitude era was one of the best (if not the best) teams ever.

  16. Can’t wait for this DVD! :)

  17. Bob says:

LOL, “historic” rivalries with Legacy and JeriShow.

Won’t be getting this DVD, not a fan of DX except for the original and the second version after HBK left.
