Best of WWE In Your House DVD Cover

In the mid-90′s, no pay-per-view series produced more epic matches, historic moments or championship showdowns than WWE In Your House. Debuting in 1995, In Your House pay-per-views were the pre-eminent setting for the top Superstars in WWE to settle their scores in the months between the “big 4″ events. In 28 total events over five years, In Your House and its unmistakable insignia solidified a permanent place in WWE through the iconic Superstars it hosted and the litany of innovations that stemmed from it.

True WWE fans will reminisce about the first ever Hell in a Cell, Inferno and Buried Alive Matches, the debuts of Kane and Big Show, and the genesis of several yearly stables such as WWE Backlash, Judgment Day, Unforgiven and No Way Out – all originating at In Your House. This 3-disc, eight hour collection features championship level matches from all the top WWE stars of the 90′s, such as Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Triple H, The Rock, Kane, Diesel and many more!

“True WWE fans will reminisce about the first ever Hell in a Cell, Inferno and Buried Alive Matches, the debuts of Kane and Big Show”

Yeah right, but why are the first ever Hell in a Cell and Austin vs. McMahon (Big Show’s debut) not on the DVD then?

    • LP1 says:

Because the loud minority of fans who buy every DVD will complain that those matches have been released a dozen times already. Forgetting that since the WWF attitude logo ban has been lifted that everything is old is new again and they should be embracing the releases of as many old matches as possible so people can finally have them unblurred.

      • Anonymous says:

There was no blurring on the first ever Hell in a Cell so there’s no reason why that should ever be released again.

  7. Simon says:

    The cover is freakin’ awesome!!!

  8. Marco says:

    Awesome cover! Fits perfectly!

  9. StevenJ says:

Looks way better on the DVD version but I love the cover.

  10. Avatar of TakerFan2013 TakerFan2013 says:

Looks totally awesome!! I can’t wait to get this set now!!!

  11. wrestlingfan says:

What no Sid, no Ultimate Warrior?

  12. Jeremy says:

A great cover that stands out. I like how they put PAY-PER-VIEW CLASSICS on it. It deserves a volume 2 like the nitro and ecw ones got.

  13. Vincenzzzzzo says:

Awesome DVD cover. There absolutely must be a volume 2. Next year maybe.

  14. Brad Attitude says:

the cover is way cooler than the match listing.

  15. NickP says:

    YES YES YES

  16. RabidHeat says:

I don’t think you could ask for anything more from that cover really. :)

  17. LP1 says:

The cover is fitting for the In Your House series. Pretty cool.

On a side note, isn’t it strange that they removed the WWF block logo on the tag belts that Taker is holding? I understand the WWF attitude logo issue, but why remove the block logo in a background picture? Seems unnecessary.

  18. nightmare says:

This one I may buy depend on the matches also I hope there are no side bars on the video I mean why does wwe have to do this all it does is give me a headache

    • neverAcquiesce says:

Would you rather them stretch the 4:3 video to fit 16:9? I wouldn’t.

      • Anonymous says:

They could release it in 4:3. Or, if they absolutely had to release it in 16:9, why not use black sidebars?

        • LP1 says:

Why would they release it in 4:3 when almost everyone has widescreen TV’s these days? The picture would still be stretched watching it on a widescreen TV. Releasing it in 16:9 with the sidebars is the standard and the correct way to view the source material. And besides, if the sidebars bother you that much and you really want to see a stretched picture then all widescreen TV’s have the function that removes the sidebars.

          • Anonymous says:

I have a widescreen TV and whenever I’m watching a show originally shot in 4:3 I watch it with black sidebars. I NEVER stretch the picture and refuse to watch a TV with a stretched picture. If they released it with black sidebars, you’d still get the same program without the fancy and distracting patterns on the side of the screens. And, if you really want to be true to the original source material, you watch it without any garbage on the sides of the screen. Where is it written that the screen must be filled? I’m presently watching an HD feed of the show Frasier and it has black bars in Full Screen mode. WWE should be doing the same.

  19. Oz says:

Love the cover, it adds a retro feel to it. The yellow packaging will make it stand out it my colletion :]

  20. Avatar of Joe Israel Joe Israel says:

Great overall design for the cover, but it does personify my issue with the match listing of the DVD/BR: very heavy over-reliance on Austin/Rock/Foley/Taker/Kane matches

  21. Jamie says:

DAMN COOL looking cover seriously looks like a Colieseum Video Cover

  22. Thomas Goodearl says:

    Loving the retro feel! :-)

  23. Love it! Reminds me of the cheesy Coliseum releases. I wish they’d have left the WWF block logo, but that’s a minor issue.

  24. mason says:

    terrific

  25. Anonymous says:

That’s an absolutely perfect cover that definitely represents the feel of In Your House.

  26. Dave says:

    Very nice and colourful :)

  27. Avatar of Mark D Mark D says:

Anyone else getting the IYH Coliseum Video covers vibe?

  28. Avatar of Hot Rod Hot Rod says:

    I like it.

They have done a tremendous job on covers so far this year.

  29. Lawrence says:

Bright, and dare I say campy, look which fits the In Your House concept (particularly its 1995 beginnings.)

  30. X-23 says:

I love the bright and dazzling colors. lol

  31. jgreeds says:

They are really stepping it up lately with the covers.
