The WrestleMania XXX DVD and Blu-ray sets will release on May 13th, 2014.

In December we reported possible plans of a “special edition” version with a WrestleMania themed book included as a bonus. This Amazon listing confirms that to be true.

The book, entitled “WrestleMania XXX: 30 Moments for 30 Years“, will be packaged with both DVD and Blu-ray editions. A Topps Chrome trading card will also be included, pictured above. This special edition is so far confirmed for the United States and Australia.

WrestleMania XXX will also be available as a standard DVD and Blu-ray without the bonuses. Those are listed here on Amazon.com (prices likely to change nearer release).

WDN reader Ahmed sends word of finding copies of the CM Punk: Best in the World” DVD in the $5 bins at Walmart. Without some pic proof we can’t yet confirm that to be true. The deal could just be selected Walmarts even if legit, but do check your local stores.

Those extras are great and all. But I hope the set itself will contain extras. IMO, the last WM to have a worthy set of extras that made me buy the set even though I already had the PPV was WM23. There was stuff from RAW and SD all over that set. Plus it also contained never before released “All Grown Up” commercials along with the ones that did air on TV leading up to the event.

Every WM set so far has been lacking in extras such as the ones the WM23 set had.

  2. AJ says:

I thought I might be done buying WWE DVDs w/the Network and specifically PPVs, but I would buy this WrestleMania with the extra.

  3. Avatar of Brandon Brandon says:

Offering special packaging like this is a good idea to get fans to still buy DVDs and Blu-rays even with the Network starting.

    • Avatar of David David says:

Yeah i agree, they should probably include a bonus disc or something the rest of the PPV DVDs/Blu-rays this year just to entice people to still pick up the physical copy even with the Network.

  4. Justin F says:

Punk’s DVD in the bargain bin…coincidence?

  5. Nicolas Hébert says:

I buy every Wrestlemania Blu-Ray or DVD since I bought the Anthology in 2005. I have Wrestlemania XIX trought XXIX as the original DVD or Blu-Ray (XXVII, XXVIII and XXIX for Blu-Ray version). With the Royal Rumble Blu-Ray or DVD, it’s the must buy for me each and every year.

  6. Vincenzzzzzo says:

That WrestleMania XXX Blu-ray package looks nice. Good collector item to have for sure. I’m looking forward to the Blu-ray edition having great extras this year too. Hopefully the pre and post shows make the list. I like those panels they do. Reminds me of a real sporting event.

  7. SCSA says:

I stopped buying Wrestlemania dvd/blu-rays a long time ago! Though if it has blu-ray exclusives such as the top matches or moments of every wrestlemania to date, then I’d be happy to buy it!

  8. Jeff cope says:

Lol all ready he’s 5 bucks ha ah ha

  9. Tony Kegger says:

Good price for the DVD, but it’s kind of a waste of money if you buy the DVD and not the blu-ray. If you only care about the documentary, buy the DVD, but the blu-ray has the best blu-ray exclusives I have ever seen for a WWE blu-ray.
